Thank you for being part of our community. To ensure the best possible experience for all members, we have established guidelines for participation. By joining and using this community, you agree that you have read and will uphold these guidelines.
Questions regarding the community guidelines should be sent to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Help Center.
To preserve an environment that encourages civil and productive dialogue, AANP reserves the right to suspend or terminate the community membership of anyone who violates these guidelines. We also reserve the right to edit or delete any materials or posts at any time without notice and at our discretion. Comments posted by individuals in the community site do not reflect the views of AANP. The list below is not exhaustive. Use good judgment when posting content.
DO:
- Respect others and the purpose of the community.
- Focus on the content of posts and not on the people making them. Remain professional and considerate to colleagues who may have differing opinions.
- Post content relevant to AANP and the NP profession.
- Share successes, challenges, questions, and goals to get feedback from your peers and benefit from their experience.
- Post documents in the most relevant community to ensure appropriate responses.
- Promote AANP-sponsored educational events such as conferences and webinars, including the Collaborative Learning Network and the AANP CE Center.
- Whenever possible, post peer-reviewed articles and evidence-based publications.
- Post content that you have personally created or have permission to use, ensuring proper attribution.
DO NOT:
- Post false, defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, illegal, or libelous content.
- Share any information, documents, or images that you are not comfortable sharing publicly.
- Use the community as a consultation service, either by seeking or offering consultation services or legal advice.
- Post promotional or commercial content not endorsed by AANP.
- Solicit employment, preceptorship, or recruitment for participation in surveys.
AANP reserves the right to remove promotional content that conflicts with AANP events, such as posts that promote events during AANP’s National Conference.
